Gravis, the asset manager expert in infrastructure, real estate and private credit, is pleased to announce the appointment of James Peel in the role of senior research analyst.
In his role, James will support the VT Gravis UK Listed Property (PAIF), VT Gravis Digital Infrastructure Income, VT Gravis UK Infrastructure Income, VT Gravis Clean Energy Income Funds.
James started his career in 2018 as a researcher at the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, where his focus was on Taiwan’s efforts to decarbonise. He then joined Titan Asset Management (previously Tavistock Wealth) in 2019 as an analyst, before progressing to the role of portfolio manager in 2020.
In those roles, James contributed to the ongoing management of Titan’s core investment proposition alongside other members of the investment team. He also designed Titan’s multi-asset class approach to sustainable investing and led Titan’s corporate approach to sustainability, including chairing Titan’s sustainability committee.
Commenting on James’s appointment, Matthew Norris, head of real estate securities at Gravis and manager of the UK Listed Property (PAIF) and Digital Infrastructure Income Funds, said: “James is an excellent addition to the team. He joins at an exciting time for real estate and infrastructure, with interest rates coming down, rents growing nicely, valuations attractive, and the regulatory landscape improving in a number of areas. What’s more, there are significant long-term trends backing the growth of these asset classes. James’s experience will deepen our resource so we can take full advantage of the opportunities ahead and build on returns for our investors.”
James Peel commented “I’m excited to be joining the securities team at Gravis. The focus on investing in the real estate and infrastructure crucial to our economic development, and necessary to meet decarbonisation targets, is very much in line with my prior experience. I’m very much looking forward to collaborating with the team, contributing to idea generation and the ongoing management of the funds.”
